Finally I decided to write a little bit about my make up obsession. I'm not a make up artist or a make up blogger, I'm just a girl that loves make up and experimenting with it or as I call it 'playing with make up as a 4 year old girl'. My main craziness is eye make up, especially eye shadows. But this blog post is going to be about my mascara and foundation collection. Today I discovered that I own 11 mascaras (all of them are relatively new, because I throw them away every 3-4 months), 5 foundations and 17 lipsticks. Not that much for a make up lover to be honest.
Mascaras:
Trish McEvoy Lash Curling Mascara
Lancôme Hypnôse Doll Eyes
L'oréal False Lash Architect
L'oréal False Lash Telescope
L'oréal Telescopic
L'oréal Volume Million Lashes Extra-Black
L'oréal Volume Million Lashes So Couture
L'oréal Mega Volume Collagene 24h
L'oréal False Lash Flutter
L'oréal False Lash Architect Black Lacquer
Now you can say that I'm a L'oreal fan but after trying out a lot of different drugstore and high-end cosmetic lines I came to conclusion that L'oreal mascaras are the best for me because of the price and quality. I don't think any Dior or Chanel mascara is any better than these in my make up purse. My lashes are very rare and thin so I've been trying out a lot of mascaras and found Lancome Hypnose and L'oreal Mascaras best among all. Both of them have different brushes and effects(volume, length, butterfly wings,....) and you can choose one that fits your taste the best or buy every L'oreal mascara that is out there as I've done :) Only L'oréal Telescopic has a brush that can easily get broken or bend, so avoid it. Other than that all of them are nice.
And one Trish McEvoy Lash Curling Mascara I have is very interesting in terms of removing it. When you wash it away with warm water it doesn't flow as every other mascara does, it turns into small rubber pieces and you can easily take it off without smudging all over your face. I wish they improved its brush and then it would be perfect for daily use.
Foundations:
Lancôme Teint Vissionnaire
Dior Diorskin Nude
Revlon Fotoready
Rimmel London Wake Me Up
Inglot Creme Foundation
I try not to buy a foundation unless I try it out beforehand or advised by a friend. And never forget to ask what type of skin your friend has because the one that works for them can be a disaster for you. I have a skin type that is dry a little bit so I use Dior Hydra creme before applying make up on my face and it works for me just fine.
It's liquid and shines a lot. Perfect for a dry skin, but I don't like that much of shine so I intensely use powder to cover it. The secret of Lancôme Teint Vissionnaire is that it has its own concealer on top which is quite good and a tiny mirror too.
I used Diorskin Nude tester and fell in love because there was no need for powder. It was perfect on its own. Coverage is not strong but works for everyday use (if you use foundation every day. Personally I don't). It doesn't dry out and looks very natural. I find Revlon Fotoready as its drugstore equivalent. They have same qualities, love them both. Thanks to Make Up The Mood and my eye for matt foundations I found Revlon.
Didn't like Inglot because its heavy but doesn't have enough coverage. A very confusing product. And Rimmel was chosen at a time when I just needed a foundation. It dries a little bit so it would suit for oily skin better than mine. But the coverage is medium and there is nice fresh smell to it.
That's all folks! I'm planning to write about other favourite products in my make up bag soon...
