"Why, Sir, you find no man, at all intellectual, who is willing to leave London. No, Sir, when a man is tired of London, he is tired of life; for there is in London all that life can afford."
— Samuel Johnson

What can I say? I love London...
But if you love this city even after a very hot and sunny summer day, then you are really, really in love with London. Because even being from another sunny place like Baku, Azerbaijan this weather was tiring today. But this way of tiring in London can bring pleasure, you just need to approach it in a right way. When you are left here all alone and practically dont't have anything to do for a day just have it for youslef. Because from time to time every person needs a day off from everyone he knows and "chat" with a city, in our case it's my lovely London (partially I was inspired by a book I'm currntly reading 'I heart New York' by Lindey Kelk). After dealing with minors problems at university eating sushi on a shadowed sidewalk of Kingsway is relaxing. But afterwards you remember that you have demanding sister that has endless wishes which can only be fulfilled in this megapolis you head to Regent street. Even it's sooo hot outside I like walking here, because it is the only way to feel the spirit the city has, and I missed it being away for a whole month. Halfway I understood that I need my frozen yogurt doze from Covent Garden
Snog. That was some kind of salvation. Classic frozen yogurt with passionfruit flavor and strawberry topping... When you decide to visit a bookstore on your way to Snog and come across a book signing of a weird writer with red cat, that appears to be the main character of his three bestsellers about this cat Bob :) London is full of surprises indeed. After the mission of shopping for my sister is completed I decided to stop by Fortnum & Mason to get my favourite mint tea. The food hall of this department store on Picadilly is a paradise for those who love tea in its all varieties and forms.
What is the best ending for a day rather than a good movie? Can't name anything else. You know there are movies you cry while watching or laugh, but the best ones are that you watch with a smile. The Internship (2013) with brilliant Owen Wilson and Vince Vaughn is a movie to put a big smile on your face. Yes, you do laugh about it but at the end, at the very end it leaves you with a smiling face in the cinema. Isn't that awesome?!

Summer is time for a reding that brings you joy and only joy. Nothing serious. This is a perfect book for a girl to get inspired by the city she either lives in or plans to travel on summer holidays. |
