Magic of a scent

Scents can bring forth memories you may have already put in the past. Particular smells can easily  trigger you memory. This type of memory called olfactory. I'm very sensitive to smells and flashbacks they awaken. So every perfume I used is associated with particular feeling, emotion, event, place, person or period of time for me. It works like magic or time machine. My mood changes the minute I smell the scent I know and the memory attached to it becomes closer than ever. And I choose fragrances myself because it is difficult to find a scent for a present that someone will like.

This fragrance is full of hope and bright future for me, it is associated with dreams coming true
Flora by Gucci

The smell of roses from this flacon brings back a lot of school time memories
Amor Amor by Cacharel

The problem with limited edition collections in perfumery and fragrances is that when you come back to get more, they are out of stock and not coming back. Tea Collection by Jo Malone caught my attention immediately and I tried it buying this tiny bottle, but when I came back it was gone. I'm not sure if I will smell it again some time, but I'm sure it will bring back flashbacks from my studio room with backyard view at the dorm in London.

Another edition of my famous Flora addiction. Gardenia scent is associated with exploring London.
Flora Gardenia by Gucci
Another smell of exploration is following limited edition by Jo Malone: Silk Blossom. I picked it by its pinky bottle design. My sister told me I would like it and I did. So blooming and fresh.  Doesn't stay long though. If you ask me how New York smells like, my answer would be Jo Malone Silk blossom with the accent of Dior Oud Ispahan. And London... London smells like the life itself, so many scents blended together even in my olfactory memory :)

A famous fragrance by Chanel is associated with waiting...
Chanel Chance
This one is associated with my tiny accommodation room in London. It was a gift from a friend and I enjoyed using it. Only good memories come to my mind when I sense this scent.
Victor&Rolf Flowerbomb

Bvlgari Omnia is the smell of indefinite future full of search, the condition which I'm not a fan of.
Bvlgari Omnia

One of my favourites. Found accidentally and fell in love. The packaging is truly luxury and the smell is captivating. Brings back winter memories.
Armani Prive Éclat de Jasmin
