Concerts are my favourite, because you can interact with the performer. It doesn't mean you're going to chat with him, but the process of delivering emotions is real. On the April 28th I went to P!NK's The Truth About Love show in London. It was held in O2 arena, one of the best venues in the world. P!NK heself is known as a talanted and charismatic singer. Admired her since school and remember listening to her album I'm Not Dead for thousand times. Since then I'm her fan. Luckily I have Seva, my groupmate from ASOA, who loves P!NK too and we decided to go to the concert together. She traveled from Southampton specially for this event.
The show was entertaining, P!NK literally was flying over the viewers and singin at the same time. Dance, set list, videos... Amazing. Moreover, she was incredibely friendly with her fans and personally accepted all the gifts, cards and flowers they gave her. She sang her new songs form The Truth About Love album and the old ones, such as U + Ur Hand, So What, Who Knew etc.,which made everyone very happy. We didn't have the best seasts, but she was so energetic, never let enyone felt abandoned. And we are talking about 20,000 people. Her impressive acrobatic moves in the air during the show were seen from everywhere.
I don't even know where this love came from. Just a few pictures and first movie with him and that was it. His appearance and personality which I discovered through books and few interviews are magnetic. It doesn't let you stay ignorant towards him. You just fall in love and idolize him, exactly what the world did with his figure after his early death. Even after 60 years he is current as he was then. The icon of rebellion and a person with his own rules of life preceded contemporary. Incredibely talanted actor, that was gone at a very young age of 24. World only witnessed him shining in 3 motion pictures but he stayed in minds of people forever.
London is the perfect place to explore and find little things that make you happy. Today after a lovely talk in Laduree Covent Garden with my friend Farida (the result of which will be posted on her blog soon) we decided to take a walk in that area, that we adore. Tiny streets with surprises on every corner awaiting for you are mesmerising. Your inner explorer wakes up and forces you to find new places. SNOG Pure Frozen Yogurt shop was a godsend for us. It's a colorful place where you can find frozen yogurt in seasonal flavours with lots of toppings such as cookies, chocolate, cornflakes, berries, fruits. Staff is smiling and it makes you feel more comfortable. The shop is decorated in a way that purchase becomes a little holiday and reminds of ice-cream happiness from childhood. Tasting frozen yogurt gave us a scent of summer that especially missed in UK, while your home country is warm and so dear when you are away.
My order: Classic size frozen yogurt in flavor of Calamansi with chocolate hearts and strawberries
Eveyone knows that sunny days in London are rare, so everyone here tries to go outside whenever the sun honours this city with its presence in any way. Today was one of those days, when I left my two hard-working friends in study room (sorry, guyz) and went to beautiful St. James Park in the neighbourhood of Buckingham Palace with my friend Turan. Beautful London and its parks... where you can walk around, sit on a grass for hours chatting or just enjoying the weather in silence.
That feeling like you’re in a
movie never leaves you. And then you’ll be back to reality, all these are going
to disappear and you will be back, where dreams forever stay dreams and
everyone around tells you how to live. Nothing about feelings, right? Because
you are not even allowed to have ones, that are against unwritten rules. You don’t
have any time, just choose from what you have.
Be free. Here. Now. Then all the brightest colors in your life will be switched off and you'll try to find happiness in the colors of the palette left in your hands...
It is no secret that I'm a movie and tv show nerd :) So you will hear about my obsession a lot, prepare yourselves for a long-term spam by me...
This post is about my all time favourite sitcom (situation comedy) F.R.I.E.N.D.S.
It is about 6 closest friends, 4 of them living across the hall (Rachel and Monica, Joey and Chandler), Ross, which is Monica's Brother and Phoebe, the weird blondie, which was Monica's roommate before Rachel. The show was on air for 10 seasons from 1994 till 2004 on NBC and never had low ratings. Episodes had 20-24 millions viewers in average, but the final episode was watched by 51 million people in USA. The success of the show is undeniable.
It all happens in New York, but the main places of the show are two apartments and Central Perk coffee shop.
Rachel and Monica's apartment
Chandler and Joey's apartment, which changed a lot throughout the seasons.
Centrap Perk coffeeshop
Despite of the years passed since the show began and everything seems old and out of fashion, the moment you begin watching, you fall in love with all six characters and enjoy the humor of the show. The way they find a way to your heart and become your friends is magical. The success of the show is also an indicator how much people accepted and became friends with the guys on the sceen. Everyone wanted a group of friends like that. They are funny, they are handsome, they are smart (eveyone in its own way), they are real friends, which will be by each other's side no matter what. Do I have a favourite character? Yes, and that is definitely Chandler Bing :)
In my opinion, it is the best sitcom ever. And as much as I know, it is the first popular one based on bunch of friends and their lives. Now there are a lot of them, but F.R.I.E.N.D.S is a part of an american culture already. The way young people formed some kind of a family and lived by each other's side for years affected the perception of the viewers in terms of alternatve family lifestyle. Chandler's way of pronouncing certain words and not finishing his sentences or Joey's famous line 'How you doin'?' became popular. People refer to them in real life and on-screen. Me personally, always remember scenes from the show when something similiar happens in my life.Humor of the show is simple but never stupid. It really makes you laugh out loud, not just smile, though you have a smile on your face throughout the episode. Every episode is 20 minutes long and the title of all the episodes begin either with 'The one with...' or 'The one when...'. There are 238 episodes in total and after watching them all you wish there were more. I watched the show once and sometimes when I have free time I re-watch random episodes, because one can never get bored of or fed up with F.R.I.E.N.D.S. It is the best way to kill 20 minutes (if you have spare)...
The song from the opening credits of the show: I'll Be There For You by The Rembrandts
But I like Boyce Avenue version more
I would share my favourite scenes with you too, but I can't choose :) So you better watch the show and gain on-screen friends for life...
